MassLNC Development Activity for FY14

Fiscal Year 2015 is right around the corner. Like many of our Evergreen libraries, MassLNC is busy wrapping up FY14 and looking back on what we've accomplished over the past year. We're also beginning to plan ahead for next year's projects.

MassLNC 2014 Conference Handouts and Survey

Thank you to everyone who attended or spoke at Wednesday's MassLNC Users Conference at Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill. The conference featured some great discussions and useful information on Evergreen and the MassLNC project.

MassLNC is gradually posting handouts/Powerpoint presentations to the conference schedule page. Not all speakers had canned presentations that can be posted, but we do plan to have all of the prepared material up by the end of next week. Read more »

Registration is now open for MassLNC 2014 Conference

Registration is now open for the MassLNC 2014 Users Conference. Staff from libraries that are members are the three MassLNC networks (C/W MARS, MVLC, and NOBLE) can register at http://masslnc.cwmars.org/masslnc2014. There is no fee to register for the conference. The conference will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May  28, 2014 at Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill. Read more »

Save the date! The next MassLNC Evergreen Users Conference is scheduled for May 28, 2014 at Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill, MA. The conference is open to any staff working at libraries that are members of the MassLNC consortia (C/W MARS, MVLC and NOBLE) and gives them an opportunity to learn about Evergreen and to share tips and tricks. MassLNC Seeks Quote to Connect Evergreen to SHAREit

MassLNC is seeking quotes to develop an interface that will facilitate communication between Evergreen and SHAREit (provided by the
company, Auto-Graphics). The interface will need to respond to NCIP version 2 messages.

Report from Evergreen Performance Evaluation

OmniTI performed an Evergreen software evaluation on Evergreen this past fall on behalf of the Massachusetts Library Network Cooperative. The performance evaluation evaluated the Evergreen database, staff client and messaging framework.

The study was mostly funded with a Library Services and Technology Act grant authorized through the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.

Congratulations to Evergreen Conference Scholarship Recipients

The Massachusetts Library Network Cooperative is pleased to announce that eight people will be attending the 2014 Evergreen International Conference in March due to scholarships from MassLNC and from Equinox Software, Inc.
